LEARNING TO SEE drawing class
Instructor: JJ Jiang
Cary Arts Center, Cary, NC
February 6 to March 12, Monday from 7:00 to 9:30PM
An ability to draw is the cornerstone of being an artist. Drawing is about training one’s eyes to see as well as one’s hand to draw. In this six-session drawing workshop, I will use purposefully arranged still life objects to help students to explore lines, shapes, perspectives, and values (tones/shades), etc. The emphasis will be given to observing the relationship among the objects in terms of values. It is my belief that value is more important than color to the success of a painting. The instructor will give demonstrations at the beginning of each planned exercise and use a hands-on approach to help students to get started.
WaverlyArtistsGroup Now Open!
